Consumers have less confidence in their energy supplier than any other service provider, a report has found.

The survey from Consumer Focus also found that one in five people had complained to their energy company in the last two years. Only fixed-line telephone providers and private sector renting received more complaints over the period.

The finding come shortly after Which? warned that four million UK households could fall into fuel poverty in the next decade as bills continue to soar.

The report found that energy prices are likely to increase by more than a third by 2020 –meaning that a family living in a detached house could be faced with an average bill of almost £4,000.

Finding a new energy supplier couldn't be easier. Go to www.energyswitching.co.uk for an independent assessment of the tariffs of all the energy providers for single and dual supply.
