A new report out this week revealed that half of people in Britain with debt are suffering from mental health problems.

The report has called upon the financial sector to recognise mental health problems. Providing better protection to people suffering a variety of mental health conditions is important, according to debt solutions firm EuroDebt.

Poor mental health in this country is no surprise as Britain is the worst place to live in Europe a new study found.

Despite some of the highest pay packets in Europe, Britons still feel the strain thanks to long working hours, poor annual leave and rising food and fuel bills. Plus a lack of sunshine adds to the misery of Brits.

As a nation we have taken credit to our heart and the average unsecured credit burden is over £21,000 and this has squeezed most households' disposable income, says EuroDebt.

It does look like we're coming out of the recession slowly though, which should cheer up worn-out Brits.

But it will happen slowly - According to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors a lack of supply is still underpinning the rise in house prices.

The imbalance between first-time buyers struggling to put down huge deposits and the increasing amount of potential buyer enquiries suggest that house prices will rise in the near future.

And today's breaking news – bank customers could be putting their money at risk by paying consumer claims handlers who mis-manage their complaints, an independent study for the British Bankers' Association has found.

EuroDebt has been very vocal in alerting consumers to propositions that may cause them serious detriment. The debt solutions firm says taking professional advice on debt problems'>debt problems is essential if you are unable to meet contractual commitments now or in the near future.ADNFCR-2613-ID-19412332-ADNFCR
