Struggling homeowners can save their homes says Westminster

It's not too late to take control of your money problems and keep your home. That’s the message from the Government in its upcoming ad campaign.

People behind in their mortgage repayments – or those already resigned to the idea they might as well hand over the keys – are being urged to get help.

The ads will run throughout Britain and will be concentrated on 22 hotspots – areas the Government thinks are in particular danger of repossession due to unemployment.

Those targeted will be asked to visit the directgov website. On their mortgage help homepage, they state over 300,000 homeowners have been given help since April 2008; a statistic stressed by the Housing Minister John Healey.
