| Debt Management Can Add Value To IFA Services |
EuroDebt highlights the benefits of debt management services for IFAs
With interest rates continuing to rise, more and more consumers are turning to Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) for help with their finances – most commonly in the form of remortgaging. But for some consumers, the remortgaging option is not suitable. For these individuals, leading debt management company, EuroDebt Financial Services, is urging IFAs to consider becoming EuroDebt franchisees in order to bring added value to their clients.
"Consumers are feeling the pressure in the current economic climate, so it's no wonder they're seeking advice, says Kevin Still, Director of EuroDebt. "IFAs are in the perfect position to help consumers manage their debts and take control of their finances. By offering debt management services, IFAs will be able to strengthen relations, as well as putting clients on a stronger financial footing."
EuroDebt is the UK's only debt management company to focus on home visits as a core component of its client liaison. The company has established more than 100,000 agreements with creditors and over 16,500 active debt management plans (DMPs) with UK consumers and has a strong track record of working with creditors to freeze interest and charges.
Currently EuroDebt has a network of franchisees who are licensed debt adjusters trained to assess and offer advice to consumers struggling to manage their finances. A EuroDebt franchisee makes an initial visit to a potential client to assess their financial situation. They then compile financial evidence to support the case and pass it to the EuroDebt team of Account Managers and Legal Advisors who will negotiate with the client's creditors.
EuroDebt provides a comprehensive training and support package for franchisees, including an initial four-day residential training course. This is complemented by one month of mentoring from an experienced franchisee including a training de-brief and accompanied client visits. Once the new franchisee has completed their first 10 cases, they are assigned a Regional Manager, who will provide motivational and moral support.
"Every case earns the franchisee an initial payment and a monthly residual income based on what the client can afford, calculated on their income and expenditure, and a percentage of the payment to each lender," confirmed Kevin Still.
