EuroDebt launches new Debt Calculator
15/07/2009
A free Debt Calculator has been unveiled by EuroDebt.
The confidential online service is designed for consumers who are concerned about the amount of money they owe on their mortgage, cards, loans and other forms of credit.
It works by the user answering a simple set of questions that has been put together by financial experts.
These replies then form the basis of an email report which is sent back by EuroDebt to the consumer, containing detailed analysis of their financial situation, tailored advice and useful links to debt support organisations.
Launching the Debt Calculator, EuroDebt director Kevin Still expressed the hope that the service would help consumers get a better grip on their finances.
"The current climate means more and more individuals are worried about the level of their debts but, for many, they dont have an overall grasp of what this means," he commented.
"We help people take an objective view of their finances and the calculator offers another tool, designed to make it easier for them to gain control of their personal debts. It's often difficult to make the first step towards getting help with managing debt but our online calculator offers an easy introduction to the process that people can use in the privacy and comfort of their own home."
Mr Still added: "The report also offers practical advice and links to organisations that offer professional support for anyone struggling with debt."
