Moneysupermarket.com distances itself from loan firms

29/05/2009

A financial website has issued a strong statement disassociating itself from two separate loans firms.

Moneysupermarket.com said that it was "unrelated" to Oldham-based Loans4Sure and Stockport's The Loan Supermarket.

The price comparison site also reaffirmed that it did not pass customer details on to what it termed "third party loan companies".

Loans4Sure advertises itself as offering "fast" credit of up to £75,000 and for granting "any purpose loans" in "any circumstances".

Meanwhile, The Loan Supermarket also offers "loans for any purpose" to customers, including those with "bad credit".

The Moneysupermarket.com statement added: "People looking for a loan should also be aware that we never charge an upfront fee for a loan or a loan application.

"We advise customers to avoid firms who ask for an upfront fee in order to apply for or be accepted for a loan."ADNFCR-1819-ID-19193457-ADNFCR
