Bargain text service launched

An innovative new mobile phone service has been unveiled - that allows customers to easily compare and contrast the best deals for goods.

GotYourPriceCheck 60706 works by users sending a text message to the firm, telling them where they are and what product they are interested in buying on the cheap.

Best value local deals are then sent back within a minute, the Press Association reports.

Speaking to the news agency, the service's Harmeet Baxi said: "We've launched GotYourPriceCheck to give shoppers the confidence that they're getting the best prices… by sending a quick text, they can find out if the store they're in has the item they want at the best price, or if there is somewhere nearby selling it for less."

Model and WAG Abbey Clancy also offered her support yesterday.

As the paramour of high-earning footballer Peter Crouch, Abbey might not be the most likely bargain hunter - but she said that the service would help her out on the high street.

"GotYourPriceCheck is a fantastic tool for bargain hunters, as it helps you find the best deals on your door step," she commented.
